DAVV IET Students Placed With ₹19.5 Lakh Package

Students from the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya are in the process of being placed and two phases of the placement season have been completed. Six students from the Engineering department have been placed with the highest package this year with ₹19.5 lakh Package.

DAVV Placement Report

During the second phase of the placement season at the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), six students from the Institute of Engineering Technology have received the highest package of ₹19.5 lakhs p.a.

The second phase of the DAVV 2019 placement season has witnessed more than 200 students being placed in different industries, sources state. They add that a total of 11 companies have visited the campus for the placement drive.

Dr. Govind Maheshwari, head placement coordinator at DAVV, spoke to media and stated that a product-based company situated in Bangalore has placed the 6 students with an annual package of 19.6 lakh. He further added that there have been more than 213 placement offers that have been received by DAVV, while the result from one of the companies is still under processing. He states that the offers are expected to increase as well.

Dr. Maheshwari stated that the average CTC received this year has been around ₹5.8. Lakhs per annum. A total of 217 students from the Engineering department have received unique offers, meanwhile, from the International Institute of Professional Studies, 34 students received unique offers and 20 unique offers were granted to students from the School of Computer Science and IT.

The Placement In-charge of DAVV, Dr Nitin Nagar stated that “unique offers are counted for those students who have received a minimum of 1 offer from any company. He added that the placement cell intends to conduct the third phase of the placement season from October 17th, 2019. However, he stated that the placement drive will be conducted in a much more laidback manner since many departments are gearing up to hold the semester exams soon. Dr Nagar also stated that in situations where mass recruiters visit the campus, they tend to not call the same students for the next placement drive.

The first phase of the placement drive at DAVV had ended on 16th September 2019, in which, more than 65% of the students had been placed, sources state. The second phase of the recruitment process had begun on 19th September 2019 and ended on 14th October 2019. In the first phase of the recruitment process, 365 students candidates had been placed out of 557 eligible candidates. There had been more than 550 offers that had been received in the first phase of the recruitment process since few students received more than two offers.
