The National Testing Agency or NTA has recently released a Corrigendum Notice regarding the reservation of candidates who have qualified SET (State Eligibility Test) from any state of India. The notice released is for the SET Qualified candidates who are looking forward to appear in UGC NET 2019.
There was a previous notice from NTA which said that the candidates who have qualified a SET Examination before 1st December 2002 will be eligible to apply for UGCNET 2019. As per the revised eligibility, candidates who have cleared SET before June 1, 2002, will be only counted for application as per the corrigendum.
The corrigendum notification released by NTA in regard to UGC NET 2019 examination says that the candidates who have cleared SET before June of 2002 will be exempted from NET and they will be allowed to take up assistant professorship anywhere in India over the application to UGC NET. On the other hand, the candidates who have cleared SET after June 2002, will be only allowed to pursue an assistant professorship in their respective state.
The NTA UGC NET 2019 examination is set to be conducted from 2nd December 2029 to 6th December 2019. The admit card for UGC NET will be released on 9th November 2019. The admit card of the NET examination will carry the details about the date, venue and time of the examination.
People who have got their SET qualification certificate between 1st June to 1st December and have already applied for UGC NET 2019 are now left baffled without any alternative.
