Many colleges in a Nagpur university are running without permanent teachers and college staff. There are few colleges in RTM Nagpur university which do not have a single permanent faculty at the Institute.
Hence, Nagpur university finally decided to take up strict action against such institutes.
The fact that many colleges are not having permanent staff and Principal in the college it affects the academic career of the students.
These colleges were among the 250 banned colleges, which were prohibited from admitting students in 2013-14, which led to the forced resignation of former vice chancellor Vilas Sapkal.
NU Board of College and University Development (BCUD) director Dinesh Agrawal has asked the colleges why the action of disaffiliation shouldn't be initiated against them for violating various provisions of Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994. According to him, these 54 colleges had violated the act, by not appointing even a single teacher.
These are the serious rule violations by the colleges as university rules in the country.
These colleges were told to respond within two weeks with proper documents or else NU would start action of disaffiliation against them.
RTM Nagpur University taking strict action against the institutes is welcomed by the students and parents.
