An Odisha minister stated on Wednesday that the state government will be issuing a uniform syllabus for all universities inside the state. The Uniform Syllabus for universities will be enforced at the bachelors level.
Mr. Arun Kumar Sahu, the Higher Education Minister of the state said that from the next academic session, the uniform syllabus will be introduced in the universities. He also held a meeting with all the state-run university Vice-Chancellors on Thursday to discuss the matter.
Mr. Sahu informed that the state government will introduce the uniform syllabus to take the examinations in a specified time-frame. The students will find the opportunities to apply for higher studies easier if the uniform syllabus is implemented as stated by the Higher Education Minister.
Apart from that, the minister directed the state-run university Vice-Chancellors to fill the vacant posts of teachers in their respective universities to conduct an uninterrupted pedagogy from the upcoming academic year.

Previously Mr. Parameswaran who is the project director of the State Higher Education Council said that as per government directions, five sub-committees comprised of vice-chancellors of different state-run universities were formed to suggest reforms required in higher education. In the meeting, the proposals of providing financial Aids and giving free teaching to selected 100 Civil Service aspirants were also discussed.

The minister stated that till now, 86 students have applied and will receive all the teaching and financial support for their dream to become a civil servant.
