Padmavathi Degree College, Machalipatnam, Krishna District inaugurated Skills development center on 6-April-2016. It’s an initiative of Krishna University to provide Soft Skills training to the final year degree students. The skills development center was inaugurated by Acharya Rama Krishna, Vice-Chancellor, Krishna University.
Addressing the students Vice-Chancellor said, “This year the Krishan University took this initiative on a large scale. This year a total number of 45-degree colleges are selected under this training program. The main motive of this program is to increase employability rate in Krishna district and to provide employability to the students especially of rural areas. The training will continue till 17-April-2016. The University conducts Placement drive in the last week of April”. He thanked the college management for initiating the program and assured the best training in soft skills.
University resource person, Ajesh Chowdhary will train the students of the college in Soft Skills, Time management, communication skills and personality development. He said, “Nowadays students lack self-confidence especially when they attend an interview they are becoming nervous and consequently failing in interviews. This training program will definitely break the barriers of fear and lack of confidence”.
College principal, S.Jersy Mercy thanked the University for giving their college this opportunity.
