The Department of Computer Science of PB Siddhartha College of Arts & Science organised ‘Blitzkrieg 2k16, an edutainment programme at the college auditorium on September 28, 2016. Students pursuing Computer Science in various colleges participate in the different competitions conducted as a part of Blitzkrieg 2k16. The competitions include paper presentations, poster designing, coding and decoding, technical quiz and cultural competitions.

The competitions commenced with an inaugural session. J Chowdary, IT Advisor to State Government inaugurated the competitions by lighting the lamp. Addressing the students, he said that students have to adopt next generation learning and come up with vibrant ideas. He mentioned that digital literacy is creating wonders and the state government is planning to start a Digital University at Tirupati. He advised the students to conduct research and reinventions and make people use technology in an efficient manner.

YV Ratnakumar, Managing Director of Y Screens, was the guest of honour. Addressing the students, he said that the future would depend on compact electronics with smart and digital aspects. He suggested the students to develop a practical approach to learning. He also mentioned that the students have ample of opportunities in the field of Computer Science and next gen technologies.
