Placement Drive at Gudlavaleru Engineering College

Reputed Chennai based Cars and Trucks Cooling filters manufacturing company conducted placement drive at Gudlavalleru Engineering College on 2-June-2016. Placement drive was open for polytechnic students of the college. Students of mechanical engineering department also participated in the placement drive. Officials of the company were welcomed in a grand manner by the college management and students. Placement drive was inaugurated by the College Principal, Dr. Ramanjaneyulu. Placement officer, M. Vinay and he supervised the placement drive too.

Three rounds of interview were conducted which included a preliminary written test, practical round and a personal interview. Skills required for the job were tested in the practical round. Assembling of spare parts was done by the students in the practical round. Placement drive received moderate response as a total number of 45 students participated in the placement drive. Out of them 5 students got selected in the final round i.e personal interview. Officials of the company congratulated selected students and gave them their offer letters. Qualified students are offered a monthly salary of Rs. 10,200.

College principal said, “it is really a great achievement for the students to secure job at the age 18. 60% of final year polytechnic students secured jobs in the campus placements in the year 2015-2016”.

Students were congratulated by the College Principal, Placement Officer, HOD and faculty members of Mechanical engineering department. Students thanked the college management and department for their motivation and support.
