The 10th convocation ceremony of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will take place on 10th August at the Pal Auditorium of the university. The chief guest for the event will be T. Ramasami, Former Secretary, Department of Science and Technology.
Around 502 students who have passed out during 2016-17 will be awarded their graduation degrees. Out of these, 15 students will receive gold medals. Also, renowned agricultural activists V.L. Chopra and S.K. Vasal will be honoured with doctorate degrees. The university will also be giving out the best scientist award to the meritorious students.

R.S. Sidhu, Registrar, PAU said that the final rehearsal for the convocation ceremony will take place on 9th August in the Pal Auditorium. The university officials will also set up a counter which will allow the degree recipients to get their identification attested.

Punjab Agricultural University was established in the year 1962 and was inaugurated by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. The establishment of PAU has played a major role in increasing the food production and in the era of Green Revolution. It was awarded as the Best Agricultural University in the country in 1995.
PAU offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in agricultural sciences, food and nutrition, food technology, food design agricultural business management and others.
