The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B) has been successful in adding another feather to its cap this year. After securing the first rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) list of 2019 under the category of Management, IIM Bangalore’s Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) has now been placed on the 12th rank in APAC and on the 61st rank globally in the 2019 QS Executive MBA Rankings.
A statement was given by IIM Bangalore in regard to this achievement and it said that this is a mere reflection of the mission that is nurtured by the institute. IIM Bangalore has a vision of fostering innovative business leaders at the global level through its transformative and holistic education.
After these rankings have been announced, IIM Bangalore has become the only business school in India that has been successful in being a part of the top 100 business schools globally and the top 16 in APAC. Moreover, the institute has achieved this for two consecutive years.
The QS Rankings are known for identifying the top universities in the world in individual and specific subject areas so that it gets easier for students in finding suitable universities for themselves if they are aware of which subjects are of interest to them. QS Executive MBA Rankings have been giving ranks to business schools that are based on certain specific parameters such as executive profile, thought leadership, career outcomes, and diversity.
The Dean of Programmes at IIM Bangalore, Professor Abhoy K. Ojha, said that the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management of the institute is specially designed to help in making technically qualified managers grow further into business leaders. The course enables them to execute classroom learning in the business challenges of real life. It also challenges them to think, analyse, and act.
