RBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2026: As per media reports, the School Education Department of Rajasthan is planning to commence the RBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2026 in February, instead of the usual month of March. This shift is being considered to align with the department’s proposal to begin the new academic session from April 1, 2026. A meeting with senior officials was held yesterday to discuss this proposal. Following the meeting, it was stated that the revised schedule would increase the number of teaching days in an academic year from the current 180 to approximately 210–220 days.
The tentative schedule for the board exams is from February 12 to March 12 . Meanwhile, final exams for Classes 9 and 11 are proposed to be held from March 10 to March 25, replacing the previously planned dates of April 23 to May 8. Additionally, the half-yearly exams for Classes 9 to 12, initially scheduled for December 12 to 24, are now likely to be advanced to the period between November 11 and December 2.
Ranjeet Meena, President of Rajasthan Shikshak Sangh (Ekikrit), recommended that the academic session begin on May 1 instead of April 1. He pointed out that rescheduling board, final, and half-yearly exams, along with the timely declaration of results, could be challenging.
On the other hand, Krishna Kunal, Secretary of School Education, expressed that the revised academic calendar would support the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. He emphasized that the increased number of teaching days would enhance the quality of education and provide students with more effective learning opportunities. He also noted that synchronizing the state board calendar with the CBSE schedule could lead to higher school enrollment rates.
