SC to hear NEET PG 2025 Two-Shift Case on May 30:
The Supreme Court of India will consider the case against the NEET PG 2025 two shifts on May 30, 2025. After the matter for the hearing was postponed on May 27, 2025. Because admit cards are set to be released on June 2 and the exam is taking place on June 15, the situation is quite urgent. Dr. Aditi and the other petitioners say that conducting the exam in two shifts could lead to differences in the question paper difficulty and subject-wise weightage between shifts.
They think this could create discrepancies in the scores and ranks awarded to the candidates, violating the guarantee of equality stated in Article 14 and the promise of a fair examination given in Article 21 of the Constitution. The plea asks that the entire NEET PG 2025 be held in a single shift to create fairness for all the candidates. NBE replied that only a few applicants opposed the two-shift format, but a signature campaign organised by the petitioners collected more than 6,000 signatures, showing widespread concern among NEET PG students regarding the matter. The decision by the Supreme Court is needed urgently, as making changes to the exam format now could cause logistical problems if officials do not act quickly.
