However, moderate rains are likely on October 5 and 6 in Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha regions. Over the weekend (October 3 and 4), heavy rains lashed parts of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. Srikakulam and Vizag districts of AP received heavy rains, causing floods in various parts of the districts. However, the rain subsided on October 5, causing a sigh of relief. As per IMD, moderate rain conditions are likely to prevail in AP, TG, Maharashtra and Odisha on October 6, but there is a chance of heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh.
