Southern Railway Recruitment 2022 for 3154 apprentice posts has commenced through merit-based selection process. Interested aspirants must apply before the deadline i.e, October 31, 2022. Candidate selection will be based on the merit list and not written examination or viva. Aspirants must be within the age limit of 15 to 24 years. Southern Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2022: Merit-based Selection for 10th, ITI Pass

For apprentice posts, the selection will not be based on the written entrance exam scores or viva but on the merit list. The merit list will be prepared (trade-wise, community-wise, unit-wise) based on the percentage of scores obtained in matriculation in each unit (with a minimum of 50% marks) + ITI marks in the trade in which Apprenticeship will be done. The final calculation will be based on the average of marks in the matriculation and ITI. In case, if two candidates have the same marks, older candidates will be preferred. If the date of birth also matches, then aspirants who passed the matriculation exam earlier will be given priority.
