MHRD’s online portal – Swayam to host SPPU’s 8 online certificate courses. The SPPU free online course will be open for students as well as for the general public.
Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) will start its online certificate courses from 5th August 2019 on the Swayam platform. Savitribai Phule Pune University is introducing a new online course for students and for the general public. Interested candidates can apply for any of the two semesters in the academic year.
SPPU’s Director of EM2RC Educational Multimedia Research Center, Arvind Shaligram informed that candidates need to first register themselves at the official website of the SWAYAM platform and after the registration, they can apply for the course.
The courses are developed by SPPU’s Educational Multimedia Research Center. EM2RC developed 8 courses, these courses are mainly certificate courses. EM2RC’s eight certificate courses include Business Economics (Macro), Level 2 of Hindustani Raga Sangeet, Special Services Marketing in India, Fundamentals of Percussion – Tabla, Retail Management, Personality Development, Business Ethics, Fundamentals of Office Management and its methods.
Once the student has enrolled for the SPPU online course, they will have access to video lectures and other study material which is available online. The student will also be given assignments every week.
These online courses will be available on the online portal ‘Swayam’ of Ministry of Human Resource Development. After the candidates finish the course they need to sit for the online examination conducted by Swayam post which the students will receive credits which will be based on their performance in the exam.
As per the UGC rule, students pursuing higher studies can take 20 percent of their credit from SWAYAM platform.
