Participants from SRM University in Andhra Pradesh went to Italy to attend a four-day working conference on the theme 'Architecting the Future Global University' organized by Rockefeller Foundation of New York.
SRM University, AP, Amaravati participated in a four-day working conference of “Architecting the Future Global University”. The Rockefeller Foundation of New York organized the conference which was held in Italy from 20th-24th August 2018, revealed SRM University Vice-Chancellor of the University, Dr. Jamshed Bharucha.
SRM University is the only honored university of India that got the opportunity to be present at the prestigious education event. Approximately twenty higher education and intellectual thought leaders were invited to make a model action plan for the upcoming university as a vibrant global force.

The conference was the idea of John Mitchell (Professor of Computer Science and former Vice Provost at Stanford), Simone Buitendijk (Imperial College, Leiden University Medical Centre) and Robert Lue (Harvard). Participants included David Leebron, President of Rice University and Jim Chandler of the University of Chicago.
SRM University is a multi-stream university which focuses on different fields, from engineering to medical, liberal arts to management and aims to be globally connected, relevant and transformative.
