SSC CHSL is a national-level examination conducted every year by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) through which candidates can get recruitment in various ministries, departments and organizations of India. The SSC is responsible for conducting the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL, 10+2) exam that provides job opportunities in several governmental organizations for the post of postal or sorting assistants (PA/SA), data entry operator (DEO), lower divisional clerk (LDC)/ junior secretariat assistant (JSA) and data entry operator (Grade A).

The following is a series of last minute tips and important topics that will surely help all SSC CHSL aspirants in clearing the exam with flying colors:
- Read the newspapers daily. Zero down on the important news - both state and national level, and keep them noted in a notebook;
- Make sure that you have the SSC CHSL exam pattern and syllabus at your fingertips;
- Download the sample papers and the previous years’ question papers before sitting for the exam. It is also advisable to appear for few mock tests before the exam;
- For English, the rules of grammar and vocabulary power must be revised, especially from previous years’ question papers. The book Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis can help those candidates who face difficulty in vocabulary and English language;
- Try to work on your calculation and build up your speed. Learn tables till at least 20, square roots, cube roots, cubes and squares. Learn the fractions and percentages. Devoting 30-45 minutes every day to increasing your calculation speed can do wonders on exam day;
- Series problems in the logical reasoning section are usually the roadblock for several aspirants. Practicing these problems daily can be rewarding on the day of the exam;
- Make sure to revise medieval Indian history and the freedom struggle when it comes to the History paper;
- For the political science paper, you must revise the fundamental rights and any latest amendments to the constitution, if applicable;
- Important laws, common names and formulae and plant and animal kingdom and diseases remain at the top when it comes to SSC CHSL question paper;
- Check the NCERT books from classes 6-8 for sure;
