Many states such as Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka will re-open schools and colleges post-COVID-19 pandemic. However, the regulations will vary from state to state.

States Reopen  Schools and Colleges Post COVID-19

Many students in India have decided to resume school and colleges post COVID-19 pandemic. The decision to reopen the schools in various states have come after considering the COVID-19 situation. States such as Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka have decided to reopen the schools. However, the timeline may for the same vary from state to state.

Delhi has released the pre-board exams to be conducted by the state schools. The schools will reopen for Classes 10 and 12 from January 18, the pre-boards will tentatively be held for Class 10 from April 1 to 15 and for Class 12 from March 20 to April 15, 2021.

Uttar Pradesh Schools to Reopen for Class 9 to 12 from February 9

Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday directed all residential schools to reopen for Classes 9-12 from February 9. The residential schools include Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sainik schools, Rajkiye Ashram Padhati Vidyalaya, and other schools.

Telangana Schools and College Reopen from February 1

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has made it official that schools and colleges in the state will reopen from February 1, 2021. The schools will reopen for classes 9 and above and inter and degree classes in colleges will also resume. The state officials have been directed to make the necessary arrangement related to the same. The state will impose all the SOPs released by the center for the reopening of schools.

Tamil Nadu to Reopen Schools for Classes for 10-12 from January 19

Tamil Nadu to reopen the school for Class 10 and Class 12 students in Tamil Nadu. The offline classes will start on January 19, 2021. The government has also allowed hostels and residential facilities for students to reopen as well.

Karnataka to Reopen Classes for Degree, Diploma Courses from January 15

Karnataka government will reopen classes for the degree, diploma, and engineering colleges from January 15, 2021. States including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim had reopened their schools for Classes 10 and 12 last year in December itself
