With rising complaints in mistakes seen in the official documents of students from CBSE, the board has announced that the students can make changes to their documents by visiting the official website of CBSE. Those wishing to make the appropriate changes in the documents must follow certain protocols set by the board.
How to Change Candidate Names in CBSE Documents?
CBSE states that the students must send in their applications regarding the changes in the name or surname of the candidate. The applications will be considered if they have been admitted by the Court of Law and notified in the Government Gazette prior to the release of the results of the candidate.
How to Change Parent’s/Guardian’s Names in CBSE Documents?
Here, CBSE states that the changes will be considered if the changes have been highlighted within one year from the release of the results. Students must submit original copies of the admission form, school leaving certificate, and a portion of the page from the admission and withdrawal register of the school mentioning the details of the candidates from the head of the institution.

How to Change Date of Birth in CBSE Documents?
To make the necessary correction to the Date of Birth of the candidate in different CBSE documents, candidates must submit the application of admission to the School, the portion of the page from the Admission and Withdrawal Register where the D.o.B. has been entered along with the School Leaving Certificate from the previous school at the time of admission. These documents shall be forwarded by the Head of the Institution.

Important Note: All these changes will be entertained by the board provided that all the guidelines are being followed by the institution and the candidate. Clerical errors such as misspelled names, factual or typographical mistakes will be considered for changes in the document.
Correction in the Dates shall be made only if relevant documents are submitted within a period of one year alone and provided the dates mentioned in the documents submitted by the institution have not been altered after the application form for the Admission to Examination has been submitted to the board.
