Anand Kumar, the famed Mathematician of the Super 30 programme, has been invited by the University of Cambridge, to speak at the Cambridge Union on 24th November 2019. Anand Kumar calls this his father’s blessing as he recalls his dream of pursuing an education at the University.
The Cambridge Union, from the University of Cambridge, has invited the famed mathematician of Super 30, Anand Kumar, to speak at the distinguished institution. Cambridge Union has called Kumar to speak on 24th November, this year.
Anand Kumar, on receiving the invitational letter from the Union, stated that the letter signifies as one of his dreams coming to life. He stated the invitation “is a dream come true.” He stated that it was his dream to study at Cambridge University, but due to financial restraints, could not pursue his passion.
As per sources, Anand Kumar had received a letter of admission from the Cambridge University, however, due to his financial status, he had to let go of the dream. He recalled his father’s happiness when Kumar received his letter for admission. However, when his father was not able to arrange the financial support for Kumar, he recalled how broken it had left him. Anand calls this invitation from the University of Cambridge “has come wrapped with his (father’s) blessings”.

The Invitation Letter from the University of Cambridge, the Union addressed Anand Kumar’s efforts through the Super 30 programme. They mentioned that the programme has been able to break various social and educational obstacles in India. They also stated that the selfless act of Anand Kumar has garnered the attention of the entire world.

The Super 30 Programme which is conducted by Anand Kumar, works towards developing the minds of those students from the more underprivileged parts of the society. The Super 30 programme aims to help the aspirants to crack the famed IIT entrance test, i.e. JEE Advanced. As per sources, the Programme has been able to make the dreams of hundreds of IIT aspirants from underprivileged families, come true, during its existence for almost 20 years.
