TN Board Exams 2020: Private Candidates to Register through Nodal Centers

Tamil Nadu Board will be setting up the 8 Nodal centres in Coimbatore district for Class XI and Class XI for board exam registration. Candidates can apply till January 2 and 3, 2019.

As per the directions given by the Directorate of Government examinations, Coimbatore all the private candidates who did not apply for the upcoming Class XI and Class XII exams that are scheduled to be conducted in the month of March 2020 will now have to apply through the tatkal system. Candidates can fill up their applications till January 2 and 3, 2019.

R Sathish Kumar, assistant director of government examinations, Coimbatore, said that the Seva centres or Nodal centres will be set up by the Directorate at eight places in Coimbatore district which includes

  • CCMA Government Girls Higher Secondary School
  • Government Boys Higher Secondary School
  • Ashokapuram, Raja Street
  • Government Higher Secondary School, Kuniamuthur
  • Municipal Boys Higher Secondary School and Municipal Girls Higher Secondary School in Pollachi
  • Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Sulur
  • Municipal Girls Higher Secondary School, Mettupalayam
  • Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Valparai

It has further been communicated by the officials of the Directorate of Government examinations, Coimbatore that those candidates who have qualified their Class X or equivalent exams and those who have not cleared Class XI exam earlier can now apply for the Class XI board exams. Also, those private candidates who have qualified their Class XI or those who have not cleared Class XII earlier can enrol themselves in Class XII exam.

It must be noted by the candidates that all those candidates who did not clear the board exams will have to make the payment of INR 85 per paper and INR 50 as online handling charges and candidates who will be appearing for the first time will have to pay INR 185 per paper and INR 50 towards online handling charges and a special allowance fee of INR 1,000 will also have to be paid by the candidates to the Directorate.

The officials of the Directorate of Government examinations, Coimbatore further communicated to the candidates the approval given to the private candidates to appear in the entrance exam will only be provisional and after taking the application and eligibility criteria into consideration their board exam results will be published.
