Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu attended the 11th convocation ceremony ofTripura Central University which took place on 23rd May 2018. Naidu delivered the convocation speechand encouraged students to aim high and dream big to achieve success in life.
During his speech at the convocation ceremony at the Tripura Central University, Naidu highlighted that each one of us can achieve and reach the highest position through dedication, honesty and hard work.

He cited the example of former president APJ Abdul Kalam while saying that he started from distributing newspapers and went on to become a great scientist. Similarly, he talked about the success story of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was a tea vendor before he became one of the most popular and powerful person in the world. According to him, to achieve one’s goal in life, one has to work hard, irrespective of humble beginnings. He also advised the students to look back and hold on to their roots, culture, art, motherland and mother tongue.

Naidu concluded his speech by explaining to the students that even though they might be looking forward to going abroad for education and career opportunities but there are excellent career opportunities now in India as well. The government is taking initiatives to introduce better and relevant career opportunities for the youth of the country.
Tripura Central University was established in the year 1987 which now has a total of 40 departments. It also offers various programmes through distance education mode.
