Two-day National Seminar at Kerala University

The Department of Political Science, University of Kerala, organized a two-day national seminar on ‘Spaces of political protests in India: competition, conflict and cooperation between party and non-party organisations’ at the department’s conference hall on September 28 and 29.

Sajad Ibrahim, associate professor, Political Science Department, Kerala University welcomed the gathering.

TM Thomas Isaac MLA inaugurated the seminar. Shaji Varkey, associate professor, Political Science department, Kerala University, presided over the function. While Felix Padel, visiting professor at the Delhi University, delivered the keynote address.

Leaders of “Pembilai Orumai”, the women workers’ organisation that led the plantation strike in Munnar, attended a panel discussion.
