University of Rajasthan Foreign Language Courses Admissions Open

The University of Rajasthan has started its admission process for three foreign language courses in German, Spanish and French. The foreign language courses are offered by the Department of European Languages, Literature and Cultural Studies, University of Rajasthan.

Students can apply for the courses in online mode and there is no entrance test for the same. The last date of form submission is 12th June and the merit/admission list will be released on 18th June.

For the admission to the courses, the varsity will prepare the merit list on the basis of class 12th marks. Also, there is no age limit for these courses and candidates as old as 60 years can also apply.

Rajendra Padture, Head of the Department of European Studies at the University of Rajasthan, stated that there has been a growing interest among the youth in the foreign languages. Globalisation and relevant job opportunities abroad has led to more number of students applying for these courses. This has led to increasing the intake from 45 to 62 as the students showcased positive response.

The department will offer Diploma, PG Diploma and certificate courses in German, Spanish and French languages. The certificate course will offer basic knowledge about the respective language after which students can pursue diploma courses.

After the completion of these courses, various job opportunities are available for candidates in embassies, hospitality sector, tourism department, banks, education sector etc.
