Putting an end to the confusion prevailing among students regarding Aadhar rule in UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 board exams 2018, the Board clarified that Aadhar Card is not necessary to enter the examination hall. Students need not carry their Aadhar Card to the exam centres, and the board had never come up with such kind of rule.
The board made Aadhar number mandatory only for the registration to Class 10 and Class 12 board exams. Therefore, students need to panic or nervous regarding the ongoing rumours. The board will not deprive any students appearing to Class 10 and Class 12 board exams, clarified by the officials.
For UP board exams 2018, over 66 lakh students are expected to appear. The examinations will begin in February 2018.

The UP Board made Aadhar mandatory for the registration to board exams with a motive to ensure transparency and establish the identity of the student. Mandatory Aadhar rule will curb fraudulent registrations and associated malpractices.
UP Board has come up with various security measures for the board exams 2018. The board selected only those schools as exam centres that have CCTV cameras, spacious rooms, proper infrastructure, electricity and water facilities. Steps will be taken to curb leakage of question paper and cheating in the examination. For the first time, the board has made the allotment of exam centres online. The number of exam centres has been decreased from 133 to 128.
