UP Universities to Conduct Semester & Annual Exams in Last Week of February

UP Higher Education Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Dinesh Sharma revealed that the semester and annual exams in state universities across Uttar Pradesh (UP) should begin in the last week of February 2019. All state universities must upload the date sheet or timetable of annual/ semester exams on their websites and display the same on the notice boards of universities.

Mr. Dinesh Sharma further revealed that arrangements are underway for the smooth conduct of annual/ semester exams in UP universities. The exams should be conducted in a free & fair manner without any instances of cheating or malpractices. Official information on the same was given to VCs of state universities, district magistrates, and divisional commissioners, he added.

Multi-level mobile task forces will be formed across the state to inspect the exam centres. According to the official information, each exam centre should install at least two CCTV cameras in all the exam rooms. At the same time, CCTV camera must be installed at the entrance of the exam centre.

Apart from CCTV cameras, every exam centre must have a Digital Video Recorder so that the videos shall be saved for the future reference.

Stringent action will be taken against students if they resort to any kind of malpractices. The authorities of exam centres must take all the measures to prevent such instances.

Students must carry the Hall Ticket/ Admit Card issued by the concerned university to enter into the exam hall. No student shall be allowed into the exam centre without hall ticket/ admit card.
