The Supreme Court has given Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) green signals to conduct main exams for different positions. The court has agreed to their appeal challenging Allahabad High Court regarding the re-evaluation of the exam answer sheets.
Earlier, the high court had ordered for the re-evaluation of the answer sheets of the candidates. The re-evaluation was to be done on the basis of the correct answer to the questions. However, the Supreme Court ruled out the same during the hearing on 15th June. The UPPSC plea was heard by the Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice Uday Umesh Lalit.

The UPPSC preliminary examinations were conducted last year and the main exams were to take place on 18th May but are rescheduled for 18th June because of the high court order to conduct the re-evaluation of the answer sheet.

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission popularly known as UPPSC is a competitive exam conducted by Uttar Pradesh for various posts in the Government sector of Uttar Pradesh. The candidates are required to qualify in both the Prelims and Mains Exam respectively. The Preliminary Examination consists of Objective Type and Multiple Choice Based Questions from the syllabus as set by the CSAT.
