Officers Training Academy or OTA course which comes under Combined Defence Services (CDS II) examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). UPSC has released the CDS (II) 2016 OTA course results. The final results of OTA course are available on the official website. While checking the results the candidates will need to enter their Roll Number in the search bar as all the results are available in PDF format. The PDF file contains the list of 328 candidates who have been shortlisted by UPSC on the basis of merit, i.e., marks scored in CDS (II) Examination 2016 and marks scored in interviews conducted by Services Selection Board. The examination was conducted by UPSC in collaboration with Ministry of Defence for the admission to: -
- 20th Short Service Commission Women (only non-technical) Course that commences in October 2017 at Officers Training Academy, Chennai.
- 106th Short Service Commission Course for Men at Officers Training Academy, Chennai.
As far as vacancies concerned, there are only 11 vacancies for 20th Short Service Commission Course for Women and 175 vacancies for 106th Short Service Commission Course for Men. While preparing the merit list, UPSC has not considered the results of the medical examination. As of now, the candidature of all these candidates is just provisional as verification of Date of Birth (DOB) and educational qualification is yet to be done.
