UPSC ESE Mains 2022 Timetable has been released by the commission on its official website, www.upsc.gov.in on May 23. UPSC ESE 2022 Mains Exam will be held on June 26 in two shifts. Read below for more information.
UPSC ESE Mains 2022 Timetable has been released on the official website of the commission, https://upsc.gov.in. As per the timetable and following the earlier released annual calendar, UPSC ESE 2022 Main Exam would be conducted on Sunday, June 26, 2022. The examination would be carried out in two shifts, both of 3 hours duration.
Shift 1 will be held from 09 AM to 12 Noon for Discipline Specific Paper-I while Shift 2 will be held from 02 PM to 05 PM for Discipline Specific Paper-II. Both Paper 1 and 2 will be taken for 300 marks across all streams viz., Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

UPSC ESE Mains 2022 Exam Pattern
As opposed to the preliminary examination, UPSC ESE Main exam is a written examination. As discussed above, it will have two subject/discipline-specific papers, each of 300 marks. Each paper will have 08 questions out of which any 05 questions are to be attempted.

Important Note:
- The language of answering must be English only.
- The exam does not have negative marking though marks up to 5% can be deducted in the case of illegible handwriting.
- While answering, candidates must note that while assessing the papers, marks would be given to to-the-point answers and writing unnecessarily lengthy answers is not advised.

UPSC ESE Mains 2022 Admit Card: When to Expect
Usually, the commission releases the admit cards for its exams three weeks prior to the exam date. It is therefore that the candidates can expect UPSC IES 2022 Mains Admit Card to be released by the first week of June 2022, tentatively on June 05, 2022.
The admit card will be issued only in online mode as an e-Admit Card at upsc.gov.in. The responsibility of printing the admit card before the exam time lies with the candidate. In case a candidate does not receive their admit card at least two weeks before the exam day or their admit cards are erroneous, they may contact the commission at 011 ‐ 23381125, 011 ‐ 23385271, 011 ‐ 23098543 or visit in person.
