UPSC IAS 2016 Preliminary Exam Results Likely be out by September 26
The candidates who have taken UPSC IAS 2016 Preliminary Examination are eagerly waiting for the results. According to the sources, the UPSC is likely to announce the results by September 26, 2016. The examination took place on August 7, 2016. A total number of 11.36 lakh candidates took the exam. The results will be published on the official website of UPSC.

The candidates who qualify the preliminary examination have to further clear the mains examination which is scheduled to take place on December 3, 2016.
The candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the Mains Examination. The minimum criteria to qualify for the Mains Examination is, 33% of marks in General Studies Paper-II as well as total qualifying marks in General Studies Paper-I. This year, a total number of 1,079 administrative posts are vacant.
