The primary objective of ‘Spandan’ is to inculcate event management skills in the youth. Apart from it, the fest also focuses on creating interest and awareness among today’s generation about working and importance of media. The major highlight of the fest is NEWSEUM, a three-day media exhibition. This year, the theme of the exhibition is 'Investigative Journalism’.

The exhibition focuses on going inside the world of hidden realities which are uncovered by journalists and media organisations. The main aim of the exhibition is to give an insight into the amount of courage necessary to go into the depth of a complex scheme of the things and the risk involved in revealing big names. The major attraction of the exhibition is ‘Panama Papers Leak’.

The exhibition comprises of various landmark cases of investigative journalism which include Swiss Leaks, Watergate Scandal, Aadarsh Society Scam, Wiki Leaks, Nira Radia Tapes and much more. The posters and photographs which contain the brief profile of renowned investigative journalists have been displayed.

Dr. Charu Lata Singh, Dean of VSJMC, appreciated the students for their hard work. She mentioned that students played a significant role in raising funds and organising the fest.

Cool, interesting and funny. An ardent lover of animals and gets a kick out of Chetan Bhagat and Amish Tripathi novels. My favourite novel is 'The God of Small Things' written by Arundathi Roy.
