- IIT-KGP or Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur concluded it signature event - Spring Fest, which was first started 1960. It is one of the oldest college festivals in India.
Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT-KGP) recently concluded its signature college festival Spring Fest 2018 between January 26 and January 28, 2018. Spring Fest was first organised in 1960 as an intra-college event, which became a raging success and has continued into its 69th year of celebrations!
Spring Fest by IIT-KGP is one of the most popular college fests amongst students. Besides unlimited fun & frolic, a host of cultural and technical events are organised for students of IIT KGP as well as other participating colleges.

The primary objective of Spring Fest is to provide a platform to budding artists excelling in various fields such as dance, music, fine arts, photography, theatre, literature, debating and quizzing. Students from all over India will take part in the competitions. It is an opportunity for the students to deviate from their routine life and embrace fun and frolic. Initially, Spring Fest was conceived as a platform for the students of IIT-K to showcase their talent and academic skills.
The fest had begun to attract the nearby colleges of West Bengal over the years. For the past decade, the IIT-K has been inviting all the colleges across India.
