The Governor-cum-chancellor Mr. Ram Nath Kovind on 5th April 2016 appreciated the postgraduate girls who have outperformed the boys, at the 4th convocation of Veer Kunwar Singh University (VKSU), Ara.
The convocation was held at its own campus in Ara. The students were present in large number for the convocation. The faculty and the guests marked their presence at the 4th convocation. There is a total of 20 gold medallists in the post graduates department of the university. Out of twenty gold medallists, a total of 14 were girls. The governor cum VC said that the Veer Kunwar Singh University served the educational needs of the people of the old Shahabad, which includes Kaimur, Bhojpur, Buxar & Rohtas districts. He also said that the university is making every effort to be flexible and change itself according to the changing world by the introduction of several vocational courses including MCA, MBA, and Fashion designing.
The also said that the youth of Bihar is an asset, urging the university authorities to give them a fine and solid foundation. ‘It is important for the universities to give more importance to autonomous research’, he added.
The acting VC of the Veer Kunwar Singh University Leena Chand Sah opened the ceremony by welcoming the guests &highlighted the achievements of the university since its establishment in the 90’s decade. The function was closed by the registrar of the university Manoj Kumar.
