VTU & HireMee Sign MoU to Assess Engineering Graduates

VTU & HireMee Sign MoU to Assess Engineering Graduates

VTU (Visveswaraya Technological University) and HireMee, a digital portal and mobile application have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate free assessment of final year engineering students from 202 affiliated colleges. The major motive of the MoU is to connect the students with talent seeking companies.

HireMee has been playing a significant role in bridging the gap between fresh graduates and recruiters, particularly in Tier II and Tier III towns. HireMee also connects the corporate world with educational/ academic institutions for easier and faster placements across the country.

The mobile application of HireMee links colleges, recruiters and students through proctored computer-based assessments and facilitate the recruitment process.

Registrar of VTU, Dr. H N Jagannath Reddy and Founder of HireMee, Mr. Chokkalingam Valliappa have signed the MoU in the presence of Professor Karisiddappa – Vice-Chancellor of VTU and Dr. Gayathri Reddy – Regional Director of VTU.

As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) effort, HireMee would provide an opportunity to all the engineering students by connecting them to appropriate jobs. HireMee will help to bring agencies or firms on board to discover diamonds among the students in urban and rural colleges.

Explaining about the functioning of HireMee, Vice-Chancellor of VTU said that HireMee teams would administer a 100-minute proctored CBT (Computer-based Test) for engineering students on college premises through its proprietary assessment application.

Chief Advisor to HireMee, Mr. Krishnan Kuppuswamy said that they are aiming to provide 1,00,000 jobs this year. Already, HireMee entered into a MoU with AICTE for the similar purpose.
