AIAPGET 2020 exam which was scheduled to take place on 29th August 2020 will now take place on 28th September 2020. The plea was filed in the Supreme Court for the postponement of the AIAPGET 2020 exam. A petition has been filed by 17 BHMS and BAMS doctors in the Apex Court seeking the postponement of the AIAPGET 2020 exam.
The plea states that many doctors are already being infected by COVID-19 or some of them are in quarantine which includes many Petitioners and it will nor be possible for them to appear in AIAPGET 2020 exam which is to take place on 29.08.020 which will be the violation of their fundamental right to equality.
The petition to postpone the AIAPGET 2020 exam has been filed and drawn by Advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava. It states that the number of COVID-19 crisis is increasing every day and it is the main reason to seek the cancellation of the entrance test.
One of the other reasons pointed out in the petition for the postponement of the AIAPGET exam is that the official notification has been released when there are just two months in the exam. The aspirants do not have enough time to prepare and the number of exams centers is not enough keeping in mind the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Many doctors who are to appear in the AIAPGET 2020 exams are frontline doctors and they will be deprived of their right to appear for the exam. They have been busy with providing medical aid during the ongoing crisis and floods which left them with no time to prepare so it is best to postpone the AIAPGET 2020 exam.
