- Due to a technical glitch in two exam centres, XLRI will conduct XAT 2018 re-exam for the students who took the examination in Kolkata and Gurgaon.

XAT 2018 was successfully conducted by XLRI on January 07, 2018. The exam took place in a smooth manner in almost all the exam centres. However, the technical glitch was reported in two XAT centres, and the issue came into limelight when the candidates posted on social media stating that the online exam was a mess. The authorities have noticed the technical glitch during the online exam and had passed information regarding the same to the exam conducting authority.
The technical glitch in XAT 2018 online exam was reported in Kolkata and Gurgaon. Considering the issue, XLRI decided to reschedule the exam in these two centres. Re-examination will be conducted in these two centres so that student's results are affected. As per sources, the XAT re-exam will be conducted on Saturday, 3rd February 2018.

Now that the exam is being conducted again, XLRI will announce the results of XAT 2018 not before February 9 or February 10, 2018. Once the results are out, aspirants of PG management courses can start applying to the institutes that accept XAT 2018 score. XLRI will release the cut-off and the list of selected candidates for the admission to PG management courses.

The selection of candidates will not be solely based on the performance or score in XAT 2018. Different management institutes across the country have their own process for selecting the candidates. Some institutes admit the shortlisted candidates through Personal Interview, while some institutes offer admission to candidates based on their performance in Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal interview.
