Andhra Pradesh: Final Counselling for B Category Medical Seats on September 28
The final phase of counselling is being conducted to fill up vacant medical seats in Andhra University and Sri Venkateswara University.
Dr. NTR Health University announced that the final counselling for B-category medical seats would commence on September 28, 2016, at the premises of university. The counselling will begin at 6.00 AM and continue till 2.00 PM. The counselling is open only for those candidates who got their certificates verified in the first or second phase of counselling. These candidates can exercise web options. The candidates who got admission in first or second phase and wish to change their college or course can also exercise the web options.
The candidates are directed to bring all the necessary documents for the counselling. This year, the Medical Council of India (MCI) approved MBBS seats in four new medical colleges across the state. Almost all the seats are filled, and only limited seats are vacant in Andhra University and Sri Venkateswara University.

This year, the counselling for B-category seats lead to chaos where most of the students and parents found the admission process defective and alleged that the university is selling seats for the candidates who do not have merit. The first phase of counselling took place in the first week of September.
