Neichute Doug left his secure job in 2000 and launched Entrepreneurs Associates (EA) to train the youths of insurgency-hit Nagaland by offering help at different levels like -

  • ProvidIng start-up capital
  • Offering training and developing basic skills

He launched Entrepreneurs Associates (EA) to train the youths of insurgency-hit Nagaland. It was his second attempt after 1992 when he had formed ‘Beacon of Hope’ as to motivate youths and to take up jobs that may even look small. But it did not work and he joined a regular job of teaching again.

While talking about his initiative he said that 13 youths at EA donated INR 500 each and started their journey with an initial capital of INR 7,500. These youths started by making greeting cards and then selling leather bags and belts. It helped them to raise a few lakh rupees.

After the initial success, EA went to people seeking donation as an investment in the organisation. EA started providing finance to youths to begin their own small business enterprises and over 10,000 people have so far availed the loans from the organisation.

Three years back the organisation expanded its services to neighbouring Manipur and got RBI approval as a lending institution. It has been instrumental in channelising over INR 150 crore of loans with 100 percent recovery to banks.

Right now more than 2,700 enterprises are running successfully. Besides that over 3,500 farmers are on sustainable livelihood cultivation with direct support from EA.

Encouraged by his success Doulo now wants to expand his network and training programme in neighbouring Arunachal Pradesh and Assam as the local governments in these states have invited him to help them also.
