IIT Bombay Wins Clarivate Analytics India Innovation Award 2018
- IIT Bombay emerged as a top innovator in the Academic Institution category with the highest number of unique patent families.
- With the Clarivate Analytics India Innovation Award, IIT Bombay has joined the list of top 12 innovators in India.
Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) has won theClarivate Analytics India Innovation Awardin the academic institution's category.
With this award,IIT Bombayhas joined the list of top 12 innovators in India. The institute emerged as a top innovator in the Academic Institution category with the highest number of unique patent families published between 2015-17. It also showcased a healthy performance in the category of success and globalization parameters.

Prof. A.K. Suresh, Deputy Director (Academic and Infrastructural Affairs) received the award on behalf ofIIT Bombayat a ceremony held on May 16, 2018, in Bengaluru.
The awards were classified into three broad categories:
- Government Research Organizations
- Academic Institutions
- Corporation
