IITs & Tech Firms to Set Up JEE Advanced Mock Exam Centres
- To help the rural students get familiar with online test system IITs are planning to tie up with software companies like TCS so that they can set up practice exam centers for the registered candidates.

IIT JEE Main candidates from the rural areas are tensed whether they will be able to score well in the Advanced test as it is for the first time that the exam will be conducted online. To help the students get familiar with online test system IITs are planning to tie up with software companies like TCS so that they can set up practice exam centers for the registered candidates. They can practice writing online tests. IITs have already uploaded mock test papers online so that candidates could practice at home.

Pallab Banerji, IIT JEE Advanced Chairman at IIT- Kharagpur said that they are still discussing the modalities with TCS. As the main idea of the initiative is to help rural students who are not aware of how to write online tests. It is for the very first time that everyone will write an online JEE Advanced exam.
IIT JEE Advanced will be online this time because of the errors in the printed question paper last year. It is one of the reasons that the IITs have uploaded several mock tests online to familiarise students with the online pattern and the main aim behind creating online centers is to help the rural candidates with the online environment for the test.

Candidates can practice tests at the centers for several days before the test on 20 May. As per the reports, these centers will be established at locations which are accessible to rural candidates and will also have enough space to accommodate thousands of candidates.
