Awarding grace marks in JEE Advanced examination is not new to IITs. In 2016, IITs awarded bonus marks for 3 questions, and in 2015, students got bonus marks for one ‘unclear’ question.

The seat allotment for the admission in these premier institutes began recently and the first allotment has also concluded. This year, 994 girls bagged admission in IITs. Around 11,000 students secured admission in IITs during the first allotment process.

This year, 1.71 lakh candidates registered for JEE Advanced 2017 examination.
