JEE Main Ranks to be Declared after JEE Main April 2019 Results: Javadekar

JEE Main January 2019 results were out on January 19 2019, and the ranks for the same will be declared after JEE Main April 2019 results. For the first time, percentile-based scoring has been implemented in JEE Main.

Union HRD Minister, Mr. Prakash Javadekar has announced that NTA (National Testing Agency) would declare ranks of JEE Main exam after the announcement of the JEE Main 2019 results for April examination. The second JEE Main 2019 exam is scheduled to be conducted in April, and the registration process for the same will commence in February 2019, he added.

JEE Main January 2019 results were out on January 19, 2019. NTA has released only the score secured by the candidates in JEE Main January 2019 exam. These candidates can also appear for JEE Main April 2019 exam to improve their score. Based on the score secured by candidates in first and second JEE Main 2019 exam, NTA will release the ranks. The highest score secured by candidates among JEE Main January 2019 and JEE Main April 2019 shall be considered for preparing ranks.

Prakash Javadekar appreciated NTA for declaring JEE Main January 2019 exam results 12 days in advanced. He also congratulated the students who cleared JEE Main January 2019 with an outstanding score. JEE Main January 2019 toppers list has also been released by NTA along with results. This year, 15 students scored 100/100 (perfect score) in JEE Main.

For the first time, percentile-based scoring was implemented in JEE Main. The percentile-based scoring method followed by NTA is one of the best practices that is used for various exams across the world.
