JoSAA Counselling 2022: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority released the JoSAA Round 1 Seat Allotment 2022, today, September 23, 2022, through the official website, jossa.nic.in by 10:00 am. Candidates who have registered themselves for the JoSAA Counselling 2022 may check the seat allotment results as it is released. All candidates listed in the First Seat Allotment have to report to the allotted institute to complete the document verification and admission process.
The JoSAA Seat Allotment is released based on the choices filled by the candidates at the time of choice filling and locking. If candidates had opted for a change of choices after the Mock Allocation- 2, as per the recent changes, the Seat Allotment is released. As the JoSAA Round 1 Seat Allotment 2022, it is likely that candidates are allotted their first choice. In case, candidates are not allotted their first choice, they may either choose to “Float” or “Slide”. If the candidate is satisfied with the seat allotment they may choose to “Freeze” their seats.

Further, candidates who choose to “Freeze” or “Float” their seats, will have to pay the seat acceptance fee. By opting for “Freeze” candidates have confirmed their seats and will no longer have the option to make any changes. Candidates allotted their first choice will not have the other options and will have to choose to “Freeze” their seats or leave the JoSAA Counselling 2022. Also, candidates who choose to “Float” will have the opportunity to be considered for the second round of seat allotment to upgrade their seats, and until then, their seat will be considered as confirmed. By opting for the “Slide” option candidates will be considered for other courses in the same institution.
