KK Wagh Polytechnic College Awarded Platinum Award for the Third Time
The AICTE and CII have awarded KK Wagh Polytechnic College, Nashik with the most prestigious award in the field of polytechnic degree colleges. The college was tagged as Platinum Institute in 2016 and 2017 as well.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and theAll India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)acknowledgedKK Wagh Polytechnic College, which is in Nashik as Platinum Institute. This is the third time that the college has been awarded the same.
The award is known to be the most prestigious and highest in the branch of polytechnic degree colleges. KK Wagh Polytechnic College was chosen as the best based on its contribution in the field and the higher technical education that it offers.
A total of around 3842 institutes were part of this survey among 9832 Indian institutes under AICTE. Only 714 institutes were selected among which KK Wagh College won.
The college has been conferred with the same award twice before this -2016 and 2017.

A new committee was set up exclusively for the selection process. This committee comprised of officials of various departments - Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Vice-Chancellor of specific universities of India, Indian Government's Defense Department and The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) officials.
The institute was established in 1983 at Bhausaheb Nagar, District Nashik which later shifted to Hirabai Haridas Vidyanagari, Nashik in the year 1992. The concerned authority headed by the State of Maharashtra's Director of Technical Education and appointed by the Maharashtra Government is the sole authority for the institute’s Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
The award would invite more students to the institute and motivate the college to go another step ahead in the field and help in the education sector of the country.
