NLSIU Bangalore to Introduce 3 Year LL.B Course from Next Academic Session
NLSIU Bangalore is planning to introduce a 3 Year LL.B programme from the upcoming academic cycle. The news was announced by the Vice-Chancellor during the 29th convocation celebration of the university.
TheNational Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalorewill be launching a three years longBachelor of Law (LL.B)programme soon. The Vice-Chancellor of NLU Bangalore, Sudhir Krishnaswamy, announced this during the 29th convocation celebration of the university. The 3 Year LL.B course will be introduced at the university from the next academic session.
Krishnaswamy said that the inaugural batch will begin their degree in the month of July 2022. The course is aimed at helping re-energise and transform postgraduate legal education across India in the years ahead. He further said that the best faculty team has been assembled to redesign the country's oldest law degree. NLU Bangalore will invite the best and the brightest graduates from all disciplines to join the programme and carry forward the varsity's vision to radically transform legal education.

Furthermore, the Vice-Chancellor told that the university has recruited around 20 faculty members in the last two years. These members have graduate and doctoral degrees from the best universities around the world. He also informed that NLU Bangalore is planning to secure additional land from the Karnataka government to expand the campus of the university.

At present, NLU Bangalore offers theintegrated law courseofBachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BA LLB)Honours at the undergraduate level and the one year longMaster of Law (LL.M)programme at the masters level. Additionally, several other distance education courses are also provided by the university.
