National Law School of India University

National Law School of India University (NLSIU) is situated in Bangalore in the Karnataka state of India. The university was established in 1986 after a notification was passed by the national law school of India university act. The campus of the university is spread over 23 Acres and it has been accredited by BCI. The responsibility of the chancellor of the university is taken up by the Chief Justice of India. Diverse law courses are offered by the NLSIU Bangalore. It offers specialisation in human rights laws and business laws. It also provides Master’s in public policy, PhD programme, MPhil Degree programme, diploma course and Doctor of Law Degree (LLD). NLSIU Bangalore has also adopted distance education for certain courses. The university facilitates students with additional perks like hostels, ATM, library, mess, canteen, guest house, computer lab and medical facilities within the campus. The National Law School of India University accepts CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) for admission to the law courses.

Dear Student,

The selection of a candidate for NLU admission is purely done based on CLAT result (AILET for NLU, Delhi). If you fulfil the eligibility criteria of CLAT, you can sit for the exam and if you qualify it, you will be allotted a seat in any of the National Law Universities. Scholarships are not provided or fee is not reduced by the NLUs based on the CLAT score.
