Earlier, DU was planning to replace the marks adjustment policy with direct calculation of marks for best four subjects i.e. thetotal marksscored by a candidate in theory and practical. The decision could have benefited a lot ofstate board studentsseekingadmission in Delhi University UG coursesas they have relatively higher practical component for several subjects. State boards also have a practical component for varioushumanitiesandvocationalsubjects.
The officials of the university have announced that they will not replace the pro-rata calculation of marks for subjects that have a practical component.
