More than 7000 Students Visit IIT Delhi’s 14th Open House
- IIT Delhi showcased more than 50 innovations like these which included software and hardware both.
- Students from more than 100 schools visited the open house witness the number of remarkable innovations of the students of the institute.
Indian Institute of Technology had their14th Open Houseon 21 April 2018, and more than 7,000 school children visited the institute to witness the number of innovations, and technologiesIIT Delhihas worked on and developed in past one year.

During the 14th Open House,IIT Delhishowcased various devices and gadgets. One of such device was aflexicrutch, it was a special kind of crutch for disabled persons which helped them to walk easily. Among other devices at the open house was abiodegradable tablewarewhich was made out of rice straw, nasal filters to block pollutants, ways to prevent crop residue burning, flow battery for the storage of renewable energy and others. The institute displayed more than50 innovationslike these which included software and hardware both.
As per the reports, students from more than 100 schools visited theopen house. Students from all over the Delhi and even as far as Sonepat came to see the innovations and devices. TheIIT Delhiopen house was a big hit as the number of people visited the institute was very high as compared to previous year.

Some of the major projects of the IIT Delhi 14th Open House were:
- Tactile Graphics: Representation of Visual Images through Raise Lines
- Street Sizing for Chirala Handloom Cluster
- On Board: A system that enables blind people to safely board public buses without any dependencies.
