Technical Glitches Restrict NIOS Students from Applying for NEET 2018
- NIOS students can apply for NEET 2018 through the official website as per the High Court directive.
- Students complain of facing technical glitch while filling the NEET 2018 application form.
In the latest decision by the High Court of Delhi, the NIOS students have now been allowed to apply for theCBSE NEET 2018exam. It essentially means that candidates who belong to the unreserved category and are above 25 years of age have been deemed eligible to apply for the national level medical entrance exam. Those who have passed as private candidates are also eligible to apply for NEET 2018.
Earlier, a lot of students protested against the move and sought theintervention of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD)in the matter. As the decision has now been taken in the favour of NIOS students, the month-long uproar has come to an end.

Further, candidates who belong to the reserved categories of SC/ST/OBC and persons with disability and are above 30 years of age can also apply.
With the decision out, medical aspirants fulfilling the above criteria can apply online for NEET 2018. Candidates are advised to fill the online application and submit application forms in complete respects by the last date of registration ie. 9th March 2018.

However, it has been reported that NIOS candidates have been facing technical glitches whilefilling in the NEET 2018 application. The students are unable to complete their application because the site is prompting them to fill in details such as year of passing class 11 exams that do not apply to them. The problem has been conveyed to the concerned authorities and CBSE has been asked to find a solution to the hurdle as soon as possible.
