Telangana Universities to Introduce B.Sc in Data Sciences and B.Com in Business Analytics
The two new undergraduate courses which will be offered by Telangana Universities include B.Com in Business Analytics and BSc in Data Sciences.
All the convectional Universities of Telangana have decided to offer 2 new undergraduate courses to the students who will be taking admission to 2020-21 academic session. These two new undergraduate courses which will be offered by the University include B.Com in Business Analytics and BSc in Data Sciences. The decision of starting new undergraduate courses has been taken by the administration keeping in mind the requirement of the current market.

The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has constituted for an expert committee which will be headed by former Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, Prof. S Ramachandram. The expert committee will be responsible to develop the required syllabus for the new undergraduate courses.
The expert committee constituted will also be responsible for training the teachers regarding the new courses. As per the officials of the committee, various multinational companies have also come forward to contribute to designing the syllabus for these courses.

The availability of the new courses in universities of Telangana will be selective, depending on the strength of teachers, Infrastructure, facilities, etc. BSc in Data Science will be a combination course of Mathematics, Data Science and Statistics. The students who have completed their 12th in Mathematics Physics and Chemistry will be eligible for the course.
Admission to new undergraduate courses offered will be done on the basis of merit obtained by the students in the qualifying examination and through the Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST).
