Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee wrote to Union HRD Minister, Prakash Javadekar pointing several irregularities in NEET-UG 2018 exam that was conducted on May 06.

She indicated that many Bengali students were not provided question papers in their language on time. Many of these students were provided with photocopies of question papers that had the same candidate code for multiple students. In many centres, the photocopies of questions were illegible that caused unnecessary nervousness and panic among the students. In a few exam centres across the state, Bengali medium students were asked to write answers using English or Hindi medium question papers, she revealed.

Apart from such issues, NEET-UG 2018 was successfully conducted in all the states across the country. Even though the stringent rules irked the parents and students, they cooperated with the exam centre authorities for the smooth conduct of exam.
